What are you talking about???
The company owns you for 17 days. They can operate you, deadhead you, place you on reserve...whatever!! Again they own you for 17 days. You knew this when you got hired here.
When you "deadhead all over the planet" it is in Business Class or better not stuck in a middle seat in coach.
When the crew meets for the first time, the Captain usually asks EVERYONE on the crew if they need a landing. It is NOT for "senior crew" only. I don't know where you get that information!
If you do not like it at Atlas then leave! No one is making you stay!

And what am I wrong about again? You like commercialing/deadheading around the planet for 40% pay credit? Have you ever been in a "senior" base where most of the captains are check airman doing OE on every leg? That's going to get worse with the revolving door.
Enjoy. I am trying to get out, like anyone else with a bit of sense around this place.
Yes it is trolling when you try to stir up **** with things like "you knew what it was like when you got hired". Well no, a lot of us were not hired under this contract and we didn't get to vote on this one.
Come back to me once you've been here a few years and the shiny jet syndrome of a widebody boeing has worn off.

None of what LineUp said was wrong. Doesn't mean it makes it a good job, just an accurate reflection of reality for many people, myself included. The **** the company did to me was bad enough to make me leave, but I never felt the need to embellish the truth even further like so many people on here.
I chose to keep a positive attitude even as I called the company on every violation they tried to pull on me. Attitude is everything, and I lived a happier life for it.
Some people just live for negativity, I guess.

Not trolling. I just recently joined this site and have tried to remain silent on many things here but I’m tired of hearing people speak negative about Atlas. Works for some and not for others. I’ve been on several 3-4 man crew flights and not once I’ve been denied a leg because I was the junior guy. I don’t enjoy deadheading around the world, I’d rather operate a trip but when I have to do it, I’m glad it’s in Business it better.
Guess I’m just bitter from all the “Senior” guys telling me that I should have my apps out elsewhere and leave as soon as possible! These are the same guys that would not leave Atlas if UPS or FedEx would call them to offer them a class date. The mentality of the more people that leave Atlas will speed up the process with negotiations, has just rubbed me the wrong way. They (Senior guys) are NOT concerned about my future, they are concerned of their own future and expediting the negotiation process no matter how many of us junior guys are sacrificed.
