747 or 767
Any word on when 747 classes will begin again?
I live in Houston, I understand if hired at Atlas, I'd be based in either ANC or CVG.
Any words of advice on whether to wait to apply until 747 classes begin again or just apply now and if called, interview for next available class?
What do contract talks look like? Does it look like a new contract is ever going to happen?

Contract talks look 336 days late as of today. If past performance predicts future results, I'd say they are not going anywhere fast. The CEO as of yesterday doesn't think we are underpaid. I'm hoping for a contract in place by early next summer at best.

747 is done for the year, they tell us, but they recently hired 100 FOs in 3 months (plus more before that) so OE is likely to become a logjam.

No word on any new 747 classes. If you are interested I would apply now...and also everywhere else. Depending on your qualifications/experience, you may be able to pass on this job.

Just wondering where you got this tidbit about not being underpaid from?

Secondhand from the employee exchange yesterday...someone asked a question about our pilots being 30% below industry standard (30% is an understatement) and he said something to the effect of "I don't accept that figure."
