Just because you post the same rumor on multiple threads doesn't make you're rumor any more true. Brown will not be buying Atlas Air.

UPS buying an airline ?

Does it come with a deice gantry ?
An overabundance of management ?
High time, old noisy airframes ?

If not, it won't happen unless its overpriced !

It makes sense as UPS is hiring lots of Atlas pilots and many more have their apps. in.

Some novel ideas on a SLI have been proposed. I like the one about determining seniority integration by W2 amount. Atlas guys would be slotted into the IPA list by how big their W2 is. If it's bigger than a UPS pilot's W2, then he goes ahead of him. If not, then he is junior to him.

Regardless of how it plays out, it would be a huge windfall for Atlas guys, even if they lose seniority or if they lose their seat.
You better hope you do not get drug tested anytime soon.

Sounds like a rumor that someone in management created just to keep a few more folks from applying elsewhere while it slowrolls contract negotiations.

I'd need a second source to bring this from BS to Rumor

It's not a rumor - the OP took an academic discussion on the benefits of such an acquisition by a pilot and spun it into a "rumor" to troll internet forums.

Nobody is talking about this rumor, because everybody knows it will never happen.

This rumor reminds me of the one RAH pilots had with American or United buying them? Or Mesa buying Envoy? Or Spirit and Frontier merging? If theres anything I've learned from experience thus far, mergers = BAD. Be careful of what you wish for, and the bigger pilot group always wins with a scorched earth policy for the others.

Why in the world would UPS buy Atlas with their debt load? Oh they make money but that is only half the equation.

If done correctly a merger should screw EVERYONE equally.
