Good idea. I had a friend tell me don't even think about a Buddy. Now that Sun Country is coming too, it is definitely worth the ticket since the job fair is free.

Over a MILLION $$ for flight pay loss. Probably a few bottles of wine and a couple of dozen lobster tails and stone crab claws at those dinners too!
And take a very close look at your Exco leaders expenses compared to everyone else!

473 voted out of 1472! And then you vote in Pete Baranko and Shawn Hobek that both publicly disparaged one of our original pilots and instructors. And wished him a slow and painful death when he was dying from brain cancer.

I assume you're at Southern? Is it as miserable as everyone on these forums says that it is? Do you have any hope that the 20 day on schedule will be changed to 18 or less after Southern and Atlas are on the same certificate and they get a new contract?

I'm currently at Southern Air on the 777! It's not as bad as people say. Lots of good pilots to fly with. My schedule for December has me home for 9 days of home reserve and 10 days out on the road.
I have nothing good to say about the company, and the ****ty contract ,but the pilot group is great, the plane is amazing. The overnight hotels are really nice. It's an easy job tbh.
With all that said, i have my applications out, hoping to get out. I was at Republic, and life in general its better here than at Republic, I also make more money here, without having to commute to a crashpad.
I don't regret coming here, but I hope I can find something better soon where I can retire from.
I will say that having the 777 type and international experience has landed me two interviews that will hopefully let me move on. And I will say that for my own experience, this is better for me than commuting to a crashpad to sit reserve at a regional.
All of this is my own honest opinion. I have nothing to do with the company, and I am not a company man by any means. This is a ****ty company, but not as bad as some people will make it out to be.
Atlas has no intention of giving us a better contract until they absolutely have to, and I think it will be an arbitrated contract after seeing how they're paying judges off.
If you're a regional captain: Stay where you are, keep applying.
