ALPA is a mistake for any ACMI carrier.

Here's how it goes:
Your pay is low.
Your dues are low.
Your management are vicious blood sucking sharks, with frickin lasers.
Eventually, ALPA will tell you you're draining more money from their organization than you're pitching in, they will cave and tell you the c&ap TA is the best you'll ever do and pull their support.

But we all gotta learn our own lessons.
Good luck.

Are you basing this on the recent stellar Teamsters contracts?

The IBT continues to be a laughable disgrace; nothings changed in 17 years..... they bleed you dry through dragging out litigation....

In the acmi world all the best contracts are teamster contracts. the only alpa carrier on the ramp on the contrary took a lesser deal and also crossed a picket line .

Answer B: a Local in Trusteeship that is eating itself from within?

This isn't about 2750, which happens to be swimming in millions of dollars of cash by the way.

This is about Western Global getting some serious representation, and frankly, the ALPA TA at Kalitta isn't looking so brilliant right now, in the middle of an e-commerce boom.

So, like I said, good luck everyone.

Bernie is Labor Secretary. Could be the start of a new attitude by arbitrators!

Does anyone have any info on the ALPA vote as well as the current pay scales?
