Yessssssss...take your earbuds out to do it too. Or, take off your epaulets. It’s hard to take them off if they’re backwards though, indicating you fly the -9. The Oakley’s on the back of your head are a good idea though, they don’t get lost that way.

So you think that the response, “check your manifest grandma, I did” is appropriate in any situation? I guess some people’s Momma’s just didn’t raise them very well. I choose to treat other airline workers with respect. When my children were young, (20 years ago) they used my non-rev bennies quite a bit. I lost count how many times a FA or gate agent helped them out so that they could get to their destination. In my day, we believed that all airline employees were on the same team. I guess times have changed.

It always confuses people when you have a paid for ticket and in full uniform. It is a concept that the passenger crowd can't fathom.
If my ticket isn't first class in the USA, I am in uniform so I can board early and find space for my bags. If it is a first class ticket, I am dressed like Ricky from Trailer Park Boys, and my ID only comes out for discounts and KCM.
If you really want to confuse people, show up in uniform as a pax in Asia.

Wondering what any of the last 6-8 responses have to do with not working for an ACMI carrier.

I agree, I've worn full uniform to get on early, typically AA, but the last few times they've asked me who I fly for and if it's not AA, they send me to back of the line to board with group 4-5 or whatever.

As a customer, probably one of the highest paying at that, I am 'obligated' to introduce myself? Yea ok lmao

Why in the world would anyone want to wedge themselves into a crappy US airline seat early? Business class...I get it. Free drinks and all......

Our company usually calls the airline up and tells them to make the boarding group whatever is the last regardless of uniform. Tickets that are purchased are always the last row, aisle, next to the crapper. The only way we don’t get those seats is if someone beat us to them by mistake.

To find space for your bags, otherwise, who cares?

Very simple then. Don’t wear your uniform. If you do wear your uniform, act like a professional.
