I am. The schedule is about half reserve, a week of travel and a week flying locally from 6am-6pm. There’s some of us that like to travel more and some less. Great QOL but slow on building hours. It’s a salary job though and they pay us well if we do travel.

Current regional CRJ Captain...would like some relevant info on the FedEx feeder ops in the PNW, FedEx is the ultimate goal.
Street CA and easy commute to work (live in GEG) with similar pay ($90/hr.) would pique my interest.
Is the purple runway even a legit program that actually gets guys in at FedEx or more of a ploy to keep guys at the feeder?
Also never flown freight, but I like the mission, a lot. Recently attended the FedEx pilot expo in Pensacola and could not be more impressed (yes I realize this is not FedEx Express).
Thanks in advance for any useful info...

I’m based in GEG and love it! Great QOL.
Cargo ops is an easy gig. We fly freight in the morning, drive our crew car to the hotel for the day and fly home right around dinner time. Empire takes good care of us.

When you say a week of travel does that mean a week spent covering flying at other bases? Are there bases where you will stay in your particular base for the majority of the time and be home the majority of nights?
