I saw they opened up a home based Caravan option. Any idea what the schedule is for that, and are they providing hotels for overnight when you are on duty in a base?

On a different note, are the SkyCouriers going to be replacing all Caravans eventually, or just on routes that have enough demand for the larger aircraft?

Only Big Mountain will fly the sky couriers for now. The empire is no longer what it once was. The rebels have taken over

I beleive that the schedule for the Home Based Caravan Pilots is the same as the Direct Base Pilots; four on one off. A hotel room and car are provided when on duty.

The skyCourier will be adding to the fleet, if anything I would expect it to replace the ATR 42's when they age out.

The SkyCourier is certifyed as a single pilot aircraft, but I have heard that they are putting together a SIC Program for it (to help build hours). I heard that SBA - ONT will be the first route.

Can anyone speak about life as an ATR CA just from a scheduling standpoint? The website gives a good description of schedules for a “roamer CA” but not for any other position. Also on some route maps I see TUL as an ATR base and on others I don’t? Closed forever?

Texas market will be all backside of the clock. Otherwise it’s fly early morning, have all day to yourself will hotel and vehicle, then fly home in the evening. Usually M-F, some routes extend into Saturday morning. When we are fully staffed you can expect a week of reserve each month which more than likely is time off with the occasional sick call. TUL I don’t think we be back any time soon. ICT is still running but I suspect it’s on the chopping block if we continue to lose pilots. Your best bet at any sort of quality of life is a Roamer position. That way you are guaranteed a 2 week on/1 week off schedule. Based pilots are all working 20-25 days per month and it’s been like this since June. Hiring is futile. The hole is deep.
