Term life insurance questions

Hey guys and girls,

My wife has me hooked on this whole Dave Ramsey thing.
I’m looking for term life insurance.
$500k-$800k range but I just called Zander and there are aviation exclusions. Especially for light aircraft if I instruct on the side for giggles.
Extra premium can be like $1200/year.
Where do you have your Term life insurance?

USAA if you qualify.

Try Midland National. 12 years ago I received a competitive rate which included coverage for general aviation.

Navy Mutaual Aid if you qualify.

USAA might be better. I haven't tried them since I went to 121. They were awfully expensive when I was in 135.

PIC Life (piclife.com) is an insurance broker that specializes in life insurance for pilots.

Check with PIC Life (as mentioned).

I bought through PIC. They are an agent so your actual insurer will be someone else. It's best to get the longest level premium policy (30 year or 20 year) so you don't have to mess with it. As you get older or have a health issue, a new policy will be quite pricey. I bought mine many years ago but my premiums for $1M term insurance are $810/year. I would also suggest getting the basic insurance from your employer if reasonable, however note that it will not be transferable if you change employers.
