Yeah Cheif, pretty sure it's not me but thanks for the suggestion. Several people have made similiar observations. I'm glad you got a chuckle out of it.

Well I think I’m a decent guy to sit next to but who knows. As for flying I’m currently operating where it’s standard to hand fly to and from altitude. Every approach is hand flown because the autopilot will kill you.

Does kalitta allow hand flying or is it 400ft autopilot on?

Depends on the captain but my experience most don’t mind as long as you handfly well. You get so few legs as a FO I try to handfly to 18,000 feet on the way up and at least the FAF inbound on the way in. We do have some airports the company want us to put the AP on at 400’ like Hong Kong to avoid noise abatement issues however.

I got hired at 4000ish but that was pre-contract.

However, a buddy of mine just got hired and he had about 3800. He did have an internal (myself).

I would say that 4500 is a pretty accurate average though for the lower time hires.

I had just over 3000. They said in the interview they have had as low as 2500 but everyone in my interview class was probably well above 4000

You guys need to be emailing your union leaders and asking them what they are doing about section 744 of this bill.

I’m emailing my union rep and I don’t even fly cargo. We are all in this industry together!
