As for you, what are you doing posting in this forum? You're long gone. Just go away and be happy with your life already.
I live near Wilmington, would have loved for abx to have gotten a new contract and for the management to not hate the pilots so I wouldnt have to commute to nyc for a job. Abx could have been a career destination for me but Soaper ruined that for me. So I have no problem sharing what a screwed up operation abx is. Pilots are the only thing holding that place together. The better question is: why are you still there? I bet you are management or soapy himselfp

Heh. That was predictable. I have a slightly sunnier outlook, ergo I must be a management troll. Just for fun, I won't issue the standard denial.

I'm still here because contrary to popular belief, even in this environment, getting another job is slightly more complicated than simply throwing a few applications into the ether and waiting for the offers to roll in. If it was just that easy, a lot more of us would be gone, including me.

In that case, I will count myself fortunate.

Did you mention all the work required on days off? How many pilots quit and went back to their previous job or a lateral move when the president said he was going to furlough? And he still says he can get the union to cave.

Answer - 19 of 50 (38%) 151ers (hired in the last year and a half) have quit in the previous 13 months.
