Hello all and thanks in advance for your responses.

I have read as much as I can about ATI on this site and have yet to have most of my questions answered in regards to the job. For those of you who have shared your experiences with ATSG and ABX, thank you.

In regards to the ATI job, a few of my questions are as follows:

1) Where is training located and how long can a new hire expect to spend in training?

2) Once released to the line, how are the bids accomplished? Are pilots just bidding for lines of days on and that's it? If specific days off are desired, is this possible?

3) Home basing: Is this limited to the U.S., or "gateway cities," or anything like this, or can any address work?

4) What is the latest upgrade time on the 767? (APC info says 2017).

5) What is the retirement schedule?

6) As a new hire, can a pilot expect to fly/be paid more than guarantee?

7) Do ATI pilots have any flight benefits other than reciprocal Jumpseat agreements? (I.E. ZED fares/ID90)

8) Do ATI aircraft have multiple jumpseats available for leisure travel by ATI/offline pilots?

Thanks.

1) Ground School is located in Wilmington, OH. SIT/SIM training is wherever they are able to rent sim time. My class was spread out between CLT, DEN, DFW & MIA. From start to finish, training is 8 weeks before you get to OE.

2) not sure yet

3) I believe its limited to only a US address. There are some that reside outside of the USA, but I believe they were grandfathered into the new rules.

4) Upgrades are sitting at roughly about 2 years, maybe less.

5) as of 2 years ago, ATI only had 80ish pilots, now they are over 300. Not much to see in regards to a significant number of people retiring.

6) yes, there are a few lines that pay over guarantee, open time always seems to be available.

7) seems like jumpseat agreements are pretty universal.

8) depending on the airplane, there could be between 2-5 jump seats available.

Hope all this helps.

Great synopsis Guy.

But to clarify some of your responses, my additions are in bold below:

Once off IOE and released to the line, after 3-4 days home you’re put into “Open Reserve”. Once assigned a trip (say for 10 days out) you would accrue .8 days off for every day out ( so for a 10 day trip, you would accrue 8 days off.

3) I believe its limited to only a US address. There are some that reside outside of the USA, but I believe they were grandfathered into the new rules.
Home basing is for the lower 48. Yes, those living outside CONUS, were grandfather’d in because they were on the seniority list prior to 2012.

As of 2years ago, our group was at 200ish

8) depending on the airplane, there could be between 2-5 jump seats available.

If you have already replied in the last window can you resubmit your application or is it already on file? I tried to resubmit and it would not let me.

Wow...what a sick, ignorant and childish reply. Moderator should delete your comment and block you from this thread.

You didn't offend me...I just think you are a child who enjoys insulting people from behind a keyboard. What bravery and courage it must take to speak in such a way to people you don't even know. Try contributing something constructive or is that too difficult for you? It's easy to throw insults, not so easy to be an adult I guess. My parents taught me manners and if that makes me a snowflake...well so be it. Somehow I think your definition of a snowflake is a bit skewed.
