Just a note... METARS, nor TAFS, have no language barriers nor borders. Should have paid attention during recurrent training.

It’s unfortunate but the FAA needs to look at their Check Airman, understanding is certain ones spend too much time in the bunk room during line checks.
Check Airman and Managemnt keep coming and going and can’t decide what company they want to work for.
And the sad part is the FAA doesn’t seem to give a sh..

The CVR wil be telling as to why the crew opted for the ILS to 14 versus the RNAV (GNSS) Z RWY 23 Approach to LNAV minimums.
Even lower with minimums with the RNP approach, provided they had Ops Specs authorization to conduct such approaches
