They landed on the 7th at 0905 correct? I don't see any notams saying it was out of service prior to the accident.

Just going off of what I've read on Avherald Accident: Skylease Cargo B744 at Halifax on Nov 7th 2018, overran runway on landing and JACDEC 2018-11-07 Sky Lease Cargo B747-400F overrun at Halifax Airport » JACDEC

Sounds like Centurion crews could use a refresher on the English language. It might help them in reading TAFS and NOTAMS.

Just a note... METARS, nor TAFS, have no language barriers nor borders. Should have paid attention during recurrent training.

It’s unfortunate but the FAA needs to look at their Check Airman, understanding is certain ones spend too much time in the bunk room during line checks.
Check Airman and Managemnt keep coming and going and can’t decide what company they want to work for.
And the sad part is the FAA doesn’t seem to give a sh..

Given that a lot of METAR/TAF abbreviations are French, this comment is slightly humorous.

I mean, not sure how your command of the English language will help you decode BR in a METAR?

The CVR wil be telling as to why the crew opted for the ILS to 14 versus the RNAV (GNSS) Z RWY 23 Approach to LNAV minimums.

Even lower with minimums with the RNP approach, provided they had Ops Specs authorization to conduct such approaches
