Manning levels are fairly strong. Expect a tiny bid in the next month or two for Airbus Captains and a larger bid to follow after the European Domicile question has been answered.

Did they mentioon an excess bid in the DC-10 on this go-around?

Not really much on that:

We know the rumor mill is in full swing concerning the 10's future. We wish we could give you all a specific time frame for the actual end of DC-10 flying, unfortunately, we don't have that information. We hope to get a better idea from the company of where the 10 stands if and when the next standing bid opens.
