I got the same thing a week ago and answered the questions. I was hoping it meant something and was not a mass email.

Come on that, that's why we have all the system hacks man. If it were anything official we would have a heads up from cp office or it Dept... It would be a huge deal with no questions if authenticity... Kind of like the duo thing with the dod

Many carriers have gone 6-7 years working on contracts.

“Working on” being a euphemism for stalling. It isn’t rocket science. There is already an existing contract in place. Both parties have had several years to experience shortcomings of said contract. Surveys will have gone out. If both parties want a new contract they can hash it out over a weekend.

Not quite in one weekend, but it can be done quickly when there’s no disagreement. Language is typically the big hang-up. They’ll give you gold bars everyday in your CBA so long as the language is loose enough to let them out of the requirements at will.
Then it’s a fly it then grieve it thing...
Which gives them a second chance to get an even better deal by an arbitrator interpretation.

3 major carriers have come out in the past week with ab inito programs....and their retirement numbers. Southwest said 48% retirement by 2029. United wants to hire 10,000 pilots over the next decade. That’s 2 airlines right there. United came out with AVIATE program to hire people still in flight school.

Why would we push for a quick contract you ask?

Because if there isn’t one, and a good one at that, you will prob see half of the pilot group turn over as it’s a pilots market anymore... not managements. Look at Atlas. Their turnover is staggering, they have aircraft sitting on the ramp yet still pay for them. How much are they hemorrhaging?

Think K4 wants any part of that?
