The MEC stated that the contract negotiation survey results would remain internal and not shared, for good reason. No one, here or anywhere else, has suggested otherwise.

However, the Union has played fast and loose with ad-hoc surveys, using them as license to operate outside of the language written in our contract. It’s the ad-hoc surveys, when unpublished and used inappropriately, that become the problem. I want the MEC and NC to be as effective as possible going into next year, and not get bogged down in avoidable sandtraps.

As a matter of fact, I know a Brazilian/American that was working In China (Instructor captain on the A320) and had to take a job as an F/O at a regional to meet 121.436 that requires 1,000 121 SIC to act as PIC part 121 (or a combination of part 135PIC and 91.1053) but that only applies to be able to act as PIC under part 121, there are no limits to be hired as an F/O, in his particular case, he wanted to target a A320 operator and be based in Florida, and he is there now after he flew the required SIC time under 121.436.

People get hired all the time guys, from the ME, from China..., these boards are very limited in terms of experiences because it is a very small group of people that participates, the biggest problem for Americans working abroad is believe it or not, maintaining a US drivers license for the background check, and in the case of Fedex, they need to live 5 years in the US prior to applying because of the restrictions of the backgfround check and the USPS contract but that is it.
The 5 year residency requirement, was dropped at Fedex about a year ago.

Every survey that has been published has been used to make an educated decision for the pilot group. Every time this occurs, the minority believes something shady occurred behind the scenes and demands the results to be published. They won’t be published for obvious reasons, and it plays right into their conspiracy theory.

You clearly don’t understand the difference between taking a survey and publishing the results.
Ad-hoc surveys have been taken, but then the results have been locked away in the secret-squirrel vault, then the elders have prescribed our opinions to us, even if counter to the CBA.
Do it right, or don’t do it at all. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Funny thing is, if you properly publish the results of a survey, makes it tough for hecklers to take issue with the knock-on effects

Who cares about survey results. There’s some major changes about to take place. Things are going to get interesting. It’s going to get ugly. Check airman are quitting, and people bidding off 767. Definitely will open up a couple check airman vacancies. Probably the goal all along. 😂
