Thanks, I'm assuming the 777 type rating is required?

I’m assuming so as I have one...I was told by a friend that they are currently only hiring via internal recs for people that are heavy typed. Not sure if that means “any heavy type” or people that are “typed” for the aircraft being hired into. Hope this helps

On top of that, they don't keep any aircrew at any of the bases so if someone calls in sick or god forbid fatigue(more on that later) then there's a huge cluster with scheduling and most likely the crew is screwed and have to go to 3 man. On top of that, any aircraft issues usually means you'll end up doing min rest (10 hours) even after almost 20 hours of duty and NO ONE calls in fatigue, it's very against company culture. I've flown with guys who have been here 3+ years that have never flown with anyone who has called in fatigue. And I've been belittled for talking about it(after two min rest stops), getting the mission done at all costs is very prevalent here. On top of that, you are sharing bunk sheets with numerous crew members (they only get swapped out in CVG), you may fly with crews who have been in close contact with someone who have popped positive on Corvid tests without being notified by the compay, and the union is basically another voice of the company.

There are many positive aspects of K4 as well but don't be under any illusion its all fun and games. They work you hard here, it's very obvious with the HKG issues that money is priority #1, and the union's response to everything is basically "shut up and fly".

I think it's always good to see the blunt truth of things before you make a switch.
Don't let the door hit you in the ass if its so freaking terrible. If an FAR was broken report it... if you took less than CBA required rest or duty day that's on you and your crew. in 10 years here I have never been forced to fly a broken airplane.. or beyond my personal fatigue limits. YES, the flying can be brutal here at times...but our pilots are fairly well compensated. Could it be better...yes... and yes.. making money is a priority... it damn well better be in these days of aviation. Rant over....

It’s not all fun and games ? I was woefully misinformed ‘!!! 11-‘ 14, Classic and 400, fly hard, play hard, sleep hard, it was us against the world, and we liked our odds. End of rave.

Sounds like K4 hired a spoon fed pax premadonna into the 777 with no supplemental cargo flying in his or her background. The 777 is a building and growing fleet, when they took on ship two they were already behind the power curve manning wise. My recommendation is quit, as flying with you will be a mental drain on an entire crew! 1,000s waiting to replace you. End of rant

is pre-Madonna considered before she was born (1958) or before her first hit, 1982?? ! 😊

Maybe you should have investigated it yourself before making the switch.
