Thank you sky jet for your post. I don't disagree with any of your facts, except the purple faced emoji is not meant to be the angry one. The 76s could well get ETOPS approval, but its more unlikely that the 74s would be doing the domestic flying instead, but who knows?? I personally would prefer getting onto the 767 simply for break from the 11-ish years of longhaul flying I'm currently doing.

There’s a lot of lines that start in CVG, so it wouldn’t require much seniority to hold one. It probably wouldn’t end there though since we don’t stay on our lines. Overtime is supposed to be based on seniority, so if there’s 50 people ahead of you on the will fly list, they have to call them first. Where you live is irrelevant unless it’s an emergency and they need someone in a couple hours.
However lately they aren’t using that list, and instead are just posting the available trips and making it a free for all. The Union isn’t amused.

OH.. and IF you were on the Will Fly list and feel you should have been called and you weren't... that is grounds for a grievance.. and the union has won these in the past and the company has paid them.

NOT entirely true... they do use the will fly list.... then resort to blast emails.. THEN they will resort to just going down the list of those on days off.....

This is not an isolated incident. I've talked to others that have experienced the same. I'll just grieve it next time.
