Anyone else here in the October 9th interview class? I see some guys mentioned googling the interview and I keep seeing compass tests for a myriad of other industries but not really finding anything specific.. also, is there now an ATP portion to the testing aside from just the compass test and HR interview? I obviously want to be as prepared as possible, as another guy previously asked, are there any recent interviewees in the group we can get an up to date gouge on? Thx in advance!

There is plenty of info available about the interview, both in this thread and on the interview gouge site. For the Compass testing, study the autopilot programming (which is just a multitasking test), math, memory, and verbal reasoning. September interviews didn’t have anything new thrown at us.
Personality test will just numb your mind, and I didn’t find a sample test out there that replicates it. Just try to be consistent. I really don’t think it’s a disqualifier like the Hogans are at UPS and United.
ATP is probably referring to the knowledge test. It was rough, but plenty who thought they blew it got the offer. On the sample tests, focus on aerodynamics and weather. If the LPJ site is new to you, sign up for the 6-month Compass prep package. It’s $60 I think, one time charge. I can’t write the site name here, but it’s in the interview gouges on the interview gouge site.
Can’t really prep for the joystick/pedals agility test, but in the interview, each control will be introduced one at a time, with a practice session for each.
Good luck, it’s a great experience. Looking forward to class.

How does having a personality test make them not a good option?

K4 is not an easy job to score, any aviation job that will pay you 6 figures right off the bat is going to be competitive. We do not have a pilot shortage problem. With that said, I am glad I got hired before that started.

Once upon a time, it was the place you went when nobody was hiring and you needed a job.
Now, it is the place you go when everyone is hiring and you want a kick ass job. If you want to be here, you need to be ready to jump a few hoops. Like us or leave us, it is who we are right now.
