- Have experience in turbojet transport category Boeing aircraft that use an electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) with an integrated FMS and autopilot
According to that you can come off any Boeing that has an integrated FMS/EFIS (basically post-1982). I'd gamble that the focus on 777/787 prior experience is they would most likely do better going through the short course than those coming off an older Boeing. Might partially explain why they are considering opening the seat lock, as well as trying to see how many people want to move off their current fleet.

I assume January, and I assume for the people who had their interviews canceled late Summer. Fleet type, don't know. Of course this all could have already changed since I was last informed in October. So I don't really have any clue.

Hi all,
I interviewed the second week of September, on the way to DTW to head back home right after the interview I got the call to offer me a 76 class by the end of Oct. early in October I got another HR call offering me the 74 instead with the same start date, a few days after that I get another call postponing my start class for “Sometime after the end of the year”.
I hope I am wrong but I don’t have good feeling since it looks like I was placed on a hiring pool.
Any comments appreciated from insiders.
Thanks!

That’s great news for Kalitta , not-so-good news for Southern who no doubt were expecting more than the 2 x 777F’s they got. It’s validation of the fact that a good CBA has benefits for the business all round ; pilots , management AND the bottom line. The argument can be made though that CMI doesn’t reap the yields that ACMI does , but that’s another topic. Too bad Atlas hasn’t learned this lesson. Bad management equals poor results , and eventually shareholders will wake up to this and correct the mistakes of previous Atlas management. We await the inevitable.
