Sounds like the European 757 and China Airbus domicles are coming according to the posting. Can I get rice in my scooby snack?

Future Bids
The Company is currently in the process of finalizing the FY08 Business
Plan which will drive our requirements for a larger, more comprehensive
bid. That bid will include plans for phasing out the Subic Airbus
domicile and opening a China-area Airbus domicile and the establishment of
a European 757 domicile. We anticipate posting in the June, 2007
timeframe. New pilot hiring is unknown at this time but is expected to be
minimal.

I don't think the bean counters will release anything concerning hiring until they have a handle on how many of the 200+ over 60 guys/yr are wanting to come back. If a great hiring year is 300, then a potential pool of 200 would impact plans significantly. This is just the beginning of how the NPRM will affect us all, on many levels.

True. Those who say the Age 60 change won't affect hiring and progression need look no further than the FE training letters and our current hiring stance.

I'll probably put pics of our a/c on a dartboard close my eyes, throw the dart and bid whatever aircraft the dart hits :D

Last statement from the FAA said they would not consider grandfathering anyone retired or FE's older than 60.

See ya!

Me-thinks the wise sage said recently (and it may have been TonyC) paraphrasing..... "bid what you want now, you might be there awhile" in the seat and the % in reference to the age 60 question.

Problem is a bunch of over 60 guys have a lawsuit pending trying to continue flying on a waiver until the age60 thing passes. That could open up a whole new can-o-worms.

I wonder when there will be a MEM 757 domicile? I'd be more interested in that tidbit of information!
