Try sliding it to the 4th and expand it one day. That should knock out the 4th 5th and 6th.

If not, just call them on Monday, I think they can work this one out even if the conflict window has closed.

You can't expand to knock out the carryin, but you can slide it backwards to knock out 3 of the days of carry in, which days are you trying to knock out?
I'm trying to slide to the right 5 days (start on 5 May). My carry-in reserve days end on 4 May and I waived the front-end 48 hours. The way I understand it, my two schedued days of vacation should then knock-out the May reserve B days of 5 - 6 May (last days of the first reserve block) and I could then extend my vacation an additional day to knock-out the first day of my next reserve B block (13 May). I now recall that one of the crew planning folks I talked to last week about vacation slides mentioned that I might get an error, so they would have to do it for me. That was before I got my May bid, so maybe there is an issue with only having two days? Guess I'll find out on Monday (hope it isn't too late).

Thanks, I'll give it a try, although I already tried to just slide it one day (to see what would happen; same error message)

I think I see what its doing now. You are trying to take the vacation on the 5th and 6th and expand to the Rday on the 13th. It won't let you because of the buffer between vacation and your last R day that would be remaining (the 4th). Since you waived that though, I think it should let you do what you are trying to do. If not, then you may have to start on the 4th, expand to the 5th and 6th and then just drop the R day on the 13th after open time comes out.

Either way, I'd give them a call on Monday and they will be able to explain or fix it even after the conflict window has closed.

If it won't let you slide at all it must have something to do with the A reserve on the 4th and then B reserve on the 5th and 6th.

Pretty weird.

Yep, I tried to slide 4 days and it still gives me the error. I emailed the crew planning folks, so at least I've done something to document I tried to slide. Thanks for all the suggestions.
