I’m sure the recruitment department is being flooded with applications, but how long does it usually take before hearing back after submitting an application? Would it help to call the company and inquiry?

Submitted my application 5 April, was called on the 8th for a phone screen and interviewed on the 21st. Class date for the 777 on 3 August (excited to be working with you all soon).

I feel like most the people who were interviewed the beginning of April got class dates that were at the end of April and now people are getting class dates for the end of summer. So things seem to be changing by the day. I've heard there was 670 new applications last week. Beyond that, during the corporate presentation there was 65 applicants on the skype call and they're having those every Monday. I'd imagine HR is incredibly busy at the moment so what was true at the beginning of the month might not be the same case for right now.

Welcome aboard. There's some decent gouge floating around out there.

As far as anybody with a class date on the 747, use your time wisely and try and have the CBT’s finished by the time you show up for class.
Took me 96 hrs.
YouTube 747 systems is 25 hrs in 53 video’s and I can highly recommend it.

Once this bump in demand is absorbed and the real effects of this global depression set in , we will be , I’m afraid , in an unfortunate position of furloughs , layoffs and airlines going bust , including freight haulers. I don’t want to sound negative , but I sense a terrible although temporary (1-2 years) retrenchment , the likes of which none of us has seen. Buckle up , this hiring binge is only temporary.

Agreed.
No doubt this is a major market reset the likes of which we haven’t seen in many years.
Akin to the housing market bubble in 2007-2008.
But a couple of months ago many threads here were about the highest paying Regional and how you were somehow entitled to this and to that and how you didn’t want to be a CFI and how to get to a Major in 1.5 years from zero and yadayadayada.
Welcome to the real world folks!
Hunker down and return that lease vehicle, this will take a while.
Who would have known that the freight market is the safest place to be right now?
Everyone less then 3000 from the bottom at a Major is on Miralax.
