Yeah... You can make 400k at Atlas too... I'll never forget the Captain who bragged to me that he "Made more than a Delta Captain".... I ran into him at the end of the year and he bragged that he "Flew 999.6 hours for the year and was mad that he gave the company back the 0.4 hours."....
I know I've heard of Sim guys at Atlas who make over $500k and never leave the hotel in Miami... The trick is making $400k without killing yourself...

A recap of the past month.
Usual 3 days of negotiations go nowhere. Company asks for more concessions in scope, ability to outsource and dry lease at any time and any amount without being restricted by pilot job protections.
Atlas misses earnings by over 70%. They claim “labor related service disruptions” and global trade issues. Investors don’t buy mgt claims and hard questions are asked why they won’t solve the conflict with their pilots that have been going on 12-15 years with this leadership team in charge and demand a “reset”.
Two hours after the earnings call Atlas sues the pilot group for the still pending appeal joint seniority list, to force the the clock to start on amalgamating another rock bottom contract.
The following week Atlas drags Teamsters back to court. To make good their “labor disruptions” cover for their refusal to negotiate attractive and competitive compensation they demand the judge make the claimed pilot “slowdown” temporary injunction permanent. They also claim the pilots are in violation of said injunction, and asks for contempt of court charges against the pilots. The judge dismisses both requests out of hand, no evidence.
Within days of the company lawyers losing in court the APU Atlas Pilots Union drive appears. Led by senior Captains one who lost in the last EXCO elections and one who’s buddies with the company lawyer in chief and future CEO. APU expects us to forfeit 5 million dollars in the bank, 17 TA’s hammered out in the past 4 years, and double assessments to fund APU. Current negotiations team, and their research and progress would be disbanded to be turned over entirely to lawyers. No leadership team named and no plan forward announced, in return for absolutely nothing from the company.
Last negotiations session for the year next week. No more meetings planned.
If the Atlas pilots fall for such an obvious management ploy as the APU that they’ve cooked up with their collaborators in our midst who want to get theirs and then pull up the ladder, then we deserve to remain the worst compensated airline in America forever.

It’s guys like this who believe working themselves to death to earn industry standard money is normal, and who this decertification drive is appealing to. Bring on that nice hourly raise and nothing else! Don’t worry about Scope..the company will take care of us and we’re safe in the top 25% of the seniority list.

That's because the EXCO was expanded from 5 to 7 people at the last minute by the e-board (nudge-nudge wink-wink). The exact number that were running for office so no election was held. There was a potential of couple of guys getting voted out but that ended with the last minute expansion.
Coincidence?
Coincidence?
They added two members. That's not why they ran completely unopposed. The last time we'd had close to 20 people run.

The only question now is how many more Amazon tails Atlas is going to lose, I hear either ten or all. What is clear is management has a plan that’s going to try every option and dirty trick in the book before they pay their pilots a penny more. If they’re willing to let all their e-commerce business walk out the door Atlas may soon add a new distinction to being the worst paying major airline job. The only airline in the country that’s furloughing.
The execs have come to realize the union isn’t going to accept another amalgamated CBA without a fight to the end. That’s chewing up time they don’t have, and Wall St will demand their removal if things remain status quo.
I suspect furloughs would help Atlas drive as many pilots as possible towards this apu lunacy and a chance of getting Teamsters voted off the property.

Yet you were so offended by expanding it by two members that you didn't form your own slate with the two members who were added and run against them. I guess if they accepted being with the current criminals they must not have had a huge problem with what they'd done in the past and their ideas for the future...

The fact that you don't recognize the last minute expansion before the election as a possible move to secure their position kind of makes me glad your at Purple now, although I am glad for you.
Maybe no one ran so as not to inherit our current ******* show. I know I'm tired of fixing others screw ups after two and a half decades of union work.

I should have said the last contested election, thank you for the correction.
