It’s a good thing Atlas pilots have the best lawyer in the biz on our side. It’s also a good thing the company isn’t CEO’ed by a lawyer who is also surrounded by an entire gaggle of highly paid ones, otherwise I’d be worried.

This union will fight to the bitter end but more excellent pilots that’ve been with Atlas decades are leaving. The writing on the wall is now in neon lights and more are seeing it. 4 resignations this week with 10 to 20 years service. Starting over is the smart play; when we lose the last two appeals in January it will be game over. 60% below industry standard pay, no work rules or retirement. Forever.
One need only observe the actions by management to see what’s ahead. They lined through every word of our negotiations team latest proposal on scheduling and hours of service. You can bet they’ll do the same for any pay raise proposal for the 747 fleet, increased days off, retirement etc. What will happen in two or three years after their amalgamation “process” is over, is a big hourly raise for first yr, 73 and 76 FO’s and that’s it for the next decade. An amalgamated CBA will only be tailored to help them, not us.
Sorry, having an Amazon Prime Air bag tag won’t pay the bills or give one more time with their family. It’s pretty amazing our execs don’t care that our 74 Captains can go to a ULCC now and be making the same by year two and much more pay by year three with greatly increased QOL, days off and a retirement.
Now that it’s become obvious there won’t be a ratified CBA and mgt is going to demand take what we offer you, ( nothing ) or leave the choice is simple.
What will be left at AAWH is low experienced pilots or those with black marks in their record that disqualify them for employment at another airline. A job at 60% less is better than no job, and mgt knows nobody cares if cargo planes crash as their lack of any changes after GTI 3591 proves.

Not quite accurate. Soaper came into the office one day only to discover that the Atlas execs were there to congratulate him on his “retirement”. That is the best thing Atlas has done for the Southern side. I’m sorry he reappeared at ABX.

Interesting dynamic. Some may say disingenuous.

Que the virtue signaling about how they have been fighting for “you” and how you enjoy the fruits of their hard fought victories and union protections and resources. What a joke.

I think the loudest complainers are probably stuck at Atlas. They complain because they feel helpless to better themselves. Those that are capable of leaving are doing so. People used to leave primarily for the “big 5” but now are leaving for the regionals, other ACMI, LCC’s and even 135. The vocal complainers will also be the group that settles for another substandard contract.
