Default FDX liquidates 76 slots to AMZ

In addition to the 20 American Jets looks like we are picking up FDX 76 deliveries.

Amazon grows but my pay and benies stay the same. Wonder how those guys feel that went purple especially after todays financial news

They probably feel pretty good with a pension and a pay scale that encompasses yours within the 2nd year.

Have to totally agree with this statement. ATI's ALPA union leadership is very weak, and most of the membership are spineless.

They just increased their 767 order less than 5 months ago....

They put a big order in back in 2015, and added 6 more around July of this year, along with six 777.

I'd think UPS would pick up open FDX 767 slots before anybody. I have to agree that its Fake News.

As to my sources

Two, both different depts, one works hq in Wilmington other ac acceptance/conformal insp.

Didnt belive it, but with FedEx bleeding it makes sense. 10 slots to amazon probably put them in the black for 3q. Plus they really dont do much amazon so its not competition. I doubt brown would let go of airplanes though they’re in a much different position.

So are your sources saying Amazon is going to purchase these factory-new airframes, then lease them to ATSG?

FDX had operating income of $1.17B and net income of $935M in Q2'FY19 so I'd hardly say they are 'bleeding'...

I doubt any of this is true....something significant would have to occur. ATSG has "NEVER" purchased anything factory new. If you've ever heard a investor call they have made it very clear what their market place is.

It would take another entity to purchase equipment and contract (CMI) ATSG and its' carrier airline(s) to do work for them. Is this possible? Of course so....but not a likely scenario. For now, I'm filing this one under the Christmas Tree, next to Cupid and across from the Sandman.
