Atlas Air Imputed Income
So my buddy based in ANC was just hit with over $1,500 in imputed income. He commutes from Atlanta to ANC. His net 2 week paycheck was $275. Not a bad check for flying a 747 around the world !!
Come on over see for yourself !!

Questions about imputed ? Here is the answer. Anytime you’re given a hotel, or flight into your base. You’re subjected to being charged a % of that money.
That 1500 ticket from south Florida to Anchorage. Yep. That will cost you money out of pocket. And of course, you won’t know until it shows up on your check.
But hey, if anybody wants to see for themselves. Call up HR, and they will put you in class on the spot! That’s how we roll around here.

Imputed income is a federal tax matter. It has nothing to do with the airline. It’s the law. Normally however it should have no impact until he files his taxes.

You can really get paid $275 to fly a 747 for two weeks?!? Dang, it cost me $100 an hour to rent that Cessna. Where do I sign up?!?

It does has to do with the airline. Other places that are home based or any other variant doesn't put imputed income in your paycheck.
Pay now or later, you still get f*cked.
Yeah, you get to pay the taxes on money you NEVER see! With the new Orange tax laws it will be impossible to write off ANY business expenses.
Was it as good for you as it was the company?

And it always it comes out of your monthly paycheck - not at tax time.
If you don't know about these things at Atlas, please don't mis-represent them.
