Aaww contract meeting

Well. Another meeting no results. 2/4

For all the new hire wannabees’. Guess what we are negotiating right now ???

We are negotiating how we are going to negotiate. LOL.

Yes. That’s right. I’m sure we are merely hours away from a FEDEX contract. Lol.

But- if you don’t believe me. Come see for yourself.

I believe it was noted that management, should they get their way in court, doesn't see a contract for years to come.

boeingdvr 02-05-2019 06:08 PM

I agree. I can easily see this dragging for years to come. Even though class sizes are 1/2 full, their contingency plans aren’t a new CBA. That’s not how this mgmt will ever operate.

This was definitely deserving of another thread. Nice.

It's saturation posting.

You know, kind of like how Coke has so many types to take up shelf space at the store or like how facebook was used with bot accounts during the election.

Got to get their message out for leverage. Sad that it seems to be the only plan they have.

boeingdvr 02-07-2019 12:21 PM

Why does it bother you ? I mean- are you in favor of mgmt “winning”.

It’s social media, and a public forum. Just spreading the cold hard facts of this airline.

DC8DRIVER 02-07-2019 01:33 PM

Anytime there is movement or substantive communication between the company and the union, it is newsworthy.

Unfortunately, the way the company is forcing this to go is down the longest possible path. I mean "Schedule a meeting to determine the framework for another meeting"... Really meetings to schedule meetings?

Our contract could be completed in two weeks were it not for Atlas using the oldest and most predictable delay tactics in the world. Their foot-dragging and lawyer-stall-tactics will probably drag this out well into the 2020's and maybe beyond.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is either delusional or drunk on company kiool-aid.

Doesn't really bother me so much other than some of the bravado and BS directed by our leadership and carried out by our social media volunteers. I've learned with this ExCo, truth is subjective and used in small select doses. If at all. This has been done to the point it's starting to backfire giving us a credibility problem equal to the company's.

Of course, the company does also. It's just expected from them as proven over time. Just seems new to you.

No, I'm not in favor of the company winning. Just getting burned out like so many others that the "sky is falling" tactics.

The company is setting a stage for a later merger arbiter or for the NMB mediator now by acting like they are trying while doing little. They are waiting to see if we end up in arbitration or Section 6 negotiations. Which sets the stage to what they are willing to do depending on the decision.

We are also delaying as much as possible to leverage the shortage of pilots and hiring in hopes of the company comes begging. History has proven they will loose a lot of work before leaving money on the table for labor and thus their lack of movement.

No, the kool-aid from the union and the company both taste bitter and not sweet. I'm choosing to not drink either one and watch both on what they actually do versus what they say.

The union is definitely NOT delaying negotiations. That is just an absurd thing to say. Those who think otherwise are so far out of touch with reality that "reality" must not be in their vocabulary.

Nobody wants a contract more than our Exco and their NC. Not only would they get the same raises that the rest of the pilots would get, but they would get a lot more time off and have far fewer headaches (not to mention all the praise and glory of a such huge victory :D )

Funny how we’re not reading anything about the two suits filed by the union against the company.
Is that a secret or something?
