Thanks for the info FF. Judging by my peers who have been getting picked up, UPS is searching for the intl. heavy experience out there.

Fli Fast and I were just having a conversation about this at the pool yesterday. There are guys that live in ANC that got assigned ONT and guys living in So-Cal with heavy time that got assigned ANC. So it doesn't make sense from a financial standpoint. These guys are pretty much guaranteed to incur an additional training cycle in one year when the bid back to where they live. However, the deciding factor for initial assignment appears to be 1. Heavy and International experience; 2. birth date priority after that for the left overs: ONT, SDF and Z. Bottom line, if you've got int'l experience: see ya at Humpy's.

Anybody know if the recency of international experience is being considered. I've got plenty but it's been over 3 years since I've flown oversees on a regular basis.

Haven't heard anything so far. Background is KC-135 and T-37
1st: Anything SDF
2nd: Anything anywhere

Was it difficult to go from the 135 to the T-37? I was thinking of doing that

Does Canadian flying count? I've done a lot of that.

Was I at the pool yesterday ??? I don't remember anything that happened after the first smoothie.

No it wasn't difficult...just very different. It's not possible to go to the T-37 anymore. It was retired at Randolph last month so no more PIT classes for the tweet. You can go to the T-6 though but I'd caution against that as it's single engine turbine. I don't think UPS or FedEx cares about SET. I'd go to the T-1 if I were you or stay in your MWS.

That's too bad about the T-37. I heard really good dudes end up as check flight commanders there. They also like to go to the ADO shop and eat BBQ and slaw
