Curious regional pilot here.
- How are the airframes assigned?
- What can a new hire 777 FO expect to make?
- What are the 777 schedules and routes like?
- What's the upgrade time?
- What's the average monthly/yearly flight time?
Thanks!

If you’re at a regional try frontier or spirit before going to southern or Atlas unless they actually get a contract. If you want ACMI k4 is where you want to go at this moment. Upgrade there is on the rise but QOL and pay is good.

737 captain should be almost a direct entry captain if you have 1000 121 hrs. 777 probably the 10 years as stated above.

Also, the regional "5 quick-turns/day + EWR daily GDP nightmares" is getting old. But it's an easy upgrade and guaranteed 80k-ish a year.

You’re not interested in ACMI or LCC, but the upgrade to a Boeing is so easy. And all that cash!!! 80k... imagine, you too could fly in China under a Filipino crew leasing contract after slumming it at an ACMI for a few years for that easy upgrade. I’m sure United is begging you to come on over. Can you give me a letter of rec?

You knows what’s getting old. Month after month doing all nighters. No upgrade in sight, no CBA in sight. Get a 777 type for a “juicy” overseas contract.
Ah yes. The American dream, living in xaxunaig China, flying around in the toxic, communist nation- don’t scratch the airplane or off to Jail you go.

A few more questions about Southern
I have a few questions about Southern:
On APC I see 737 crews are CVG based and it also says starting in Sept they are gateway based, what exactly does that mean? Are you positive space and provided a hotel when commuting to CVG? (Sorry new to that term)
What are the lines like on the 737? If you live at one of the overnights are the overnights long enough to go home say if your an hour drive?
Can you request the 737 or is it just luck of the draw in the hiring process? (if I meet all minimums for both airframes)
Thanks
