It may, but to avoid that Planning only needs to keep building most of the lines the way they do now such as CVG/BAH/HKG/LAX/LEJ/LAX. Or the reverse of that. Of course there are many variations when you include the other 7 stations we serve, but the main idea would be to avoid returning to base and needing to double-out any flights over 12 hours thus maximizing the efficiency of the crews.
Being short pilots on the 777 is not going to end in the foreseeable future. Nor will pilots being junior assigned well past their already 17-20 days.

Ok. Throw on a final leg of deadhead LAX/CVG for the above example. Is that a CBA pairing violation? I honestly don’t know. I’m asking. I haven’t had to worry about not being home based in a long, long time.

Agreed! Atlas definitely has more CBA expertise. We are learning quickly though. Lol
However, when Atlas pilots post under a “SouthernAir” thread that if a pilot flys 15 hours they only get paid 4.85 that is very misleading. When they post that most SouthernAir pilots only get paid CRT that is also misleading. Although probably true on the 747 (non-express) side where you are chasing airplanes all over the planet and also the 767/737 side, that may not be true on the 777 that has numerous high time lines due to lack of pilots.
My point is, if you are going to stray from your lane at least post accurate information. Anything else causes a loss of credibility of both groups. Simply post the facts that are 100% correct. The overall message will be the same.

Here you are again recruiting for pilots for Atlas and Southern by trying to make it seem like it's not as bad as others try to make it out to be. You're far too eager to harm your own pilot group with your comments on here (if you even are a Southern pilot). Good luck with the hiring!
“Nor will pilots being junior assigned well past their already 17-20 days.”
Yes, please come to Southern where you will make lots of money because you will rarely get to go home. On top of that you get to enjoy Gateway Basing and Imputed Income just like our Atlas Brothers and sisters. Is that better recruiting?
Jack, I was referring to the pilots eligible to vote for the LOA being aware of Gateway Basing. I know it’s hard to keep up but try a little harder. I’m very pro-Union but laughing at the attempt to decrease hiring through the use of an “unofficial” social media hit squad that spews less than truthful information about an airline they do not even work for. Atlas just reported record revenue, and earnings. Somehow the planes keep moving and pilots keep showing up for new hire class. Good on ya for trying though.
