I figured it was something like this but have never cross used fr24 to get tail number

From a new person in training why would someone not take a job with a company like this who will hire 1500 hr pilot over a regional. Seems like more pay with the same BS. Although you might not have travel seats seems like you could work here while building hours then maybe leave for a place like SWA.

Mostly because your job as a newly minted airline transport pilot is to acquire as much flight time and eventually 121 pic time as you can. That’s how you move on. This job just won’t get you there. Doing hub turns in the middle of the night to build 20 hours a month is a poor choice and you won’t have the time to upgrade to the left seat. Go to a regional take the bonus upgrade in a couple years and move on to a career airline. This ain’t a career destination as of now and the upper mgmt are fighting like hell to keep it third tier.

Maybe, because there is a 60% chance you will fail initial new hire training and as a result you will be stuck and unable to move on to place like SWA.

Is it really? Not my experience. I made 18k my first year at a regional, and a dealt with a lot less “BS” flying freight.

You can easily make $50k/yr (not including bonuses) your first year at a regional. The days of $20k/yr is long gone.

Regional pay is good the first year not year 2 or 3. Regardless of money why choose a Crj200 over a 777 or 737. Because your scared of getting a pink slip and the hard core union boys who can’t leave will give you a hard time. The guys at Mesa will fail you as well so make the pink slip worth it.

Personally, it’s not about the pink slip for me. If you told me that I would get paid either the same or less, but fly the 777 with worse QOL or go to a regional and be able to upgrade quickly, have a decent contract, and get paid the same or higher, I’d be at the regionals

You’re*. Fixed it for you. The other reasons have been explained for the previous pages. Hard core union boys are a bad thing? The individuals trying to improve QOL and pay for the common good of the pilot group? The ones that spend much of their free time fighting for you?
