Tango320;
I just interview with them about a month ago. I have never being to such a place where mostly everyone is happy and happy to see you and have you for an interview. If you pass your phone interview and are invited for a face to face interview chance are that you will be hire. There are no tricks or got you questions. You get there early in the morning normally a group of about 18 and get divided in two group. One do one on one interview with HR, Ops and Assistant Chief pilot, and drug test and the other do the Compass test. Then after lunch is the other way. Best of luck and you will feel welcome when you show up.

So how often and for how long would 767 crews be sitting hot reserve in CVG or other cities?

I mean it happens, people lose their crap over but I don't mind them. I go in early around midnight, get a sleep room, and spend the night there and sleep through them. I'd say anywhere from 1-5 in a 16 day rotation on normal. YMMV

Bump. Bump. Bump.

Taken from the main Kalitta thread, posted by K4ALPA:

“The 767's operate only in the DHL network out of CVG and layover in Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, Laredo, San Antonio and Seattle.”

I’m trying to find more info about the schedule on the 767 side. I know it’s 16 ON / 14 or 15 OFF, but I’m curious about the variety of flying. The message noted the common overnights, but where else do you go? Is it all lower 48? Mexico, Canada, Alaska?

I looked at the schedule on the Kalitta Air website, and I could be reading it wrong, but I only see 747-400 flying. I don’t want to violate any SSI, but is there anyone willing to share a 767 bid packet here or via PM?

Thank you!

It’s all lower 48 right now. Go back a few pages and you’ll see some example lines posted.

Thank you for the response, Locke! I saw the example you posted before and was just curious to see some of the other cities y’all fly to on the 767. I’m living in DFW now and wanted to see about jumpseating on a 767, talking to a crew, getting the skinny on the job.

Also, I understand on the 747 side you don’t really end up flying your line most of the time. Is it like that on the 767 as well? I thought it would be a little more structured / planned out since the flying is all DHL.

Thanks again!

Just FYI, what you see on the Kalitta website is not all the 747 flying.
