At K4 you’ll fly a lot, and under 121 rest rules. At Omni you’ll fly 25-45 hours a month under 117 rest rules. The crew meals are good, the hotels are good, and the crews are great.

Look at the regionals with a no-interview flow to a major, Envoy/Piedmont/PSA

It’s a hedge in case you don’t end up at Omni or K4 for whatever reason and the pay is decent

Since it appears you might be in TX, check out Envoy then

What he/she said. United had a presentation at a job fair recently and the 23 year old chirpy HR girl that’s in charge of hiring people to fly 800,000lb airplanes at 85% the speed of sound in rarified air worldwide said that 50% of their pilots will be from flow. The other 25% will be military and the remainder will be selected by algorithms.

Military pilots are selected from the same algorithms as street hires... Unless they have some kind of quota?

Of course, one may absolutely hate that lifestyle, so it's best you try it out first so you can really appreciate working at K4 or Omni.
It would suck if you somehow made it to K4 or Omni first then left for something you ended up absolutely hating.

Hey thanks for all the insight. I figured regionals were probably the best choice. I'll probably choose skywest then apply to k4/SWA/fed/ups at mins and just keep updating and take whoever calls first.

Or the other way around....spent some time at a regional with a flow then left for night cargo and hated it..that would also suck.
