Detils would be terrific so that we might guard ourselves against the threats you encountered. So far I have had no real problems getting home to Germany. Granted the sample size of 4 trips is small. I only commuted 10 round trips last year. Paid for zero hotels, stayed in zero crashpads, and rode on zero jumpseats. I live in USA but I would say pretty good for a commuter.
