Default 737Max Cargo

Any predictions on the fate of the 737MaX? Not a bunch of data points out there for MD-11 like programs...but if the public permanently loses confidence in flying the plane, what’s the likelihood Boeing works out the bugs and they end up hauling boxes after posting them at a price box haulers can’t pass up.

They'll end up putting redundancy in the design, tell South West a new type is coming, and replace all 737's with the 797, which they should of done back when the A320 came out. These are just my own wild ass predictions.

People forget. Most people can't tell the difference between a 320 and a 737 nevermind a -400, 800, Max etc.

A fix will come out, and in a year or two the most you'll hear about it (outside aviation circles) will be what a great entry point it was to buy Boeing stock on CNBC. If anything, it sounds like mostly a software issue which will make it even easier to implement once there is a fix.

There's too much money floating around for the music to stop on this one. It looks like SWA and RyanAir won out after all and got this whole thing approved with the common type even though it seems like a very different airplane from the other 737s. Boeing's black eye will heal soon enough, they are just lucky those airplanes didn't go down somewhere inside the US. The FAA will continue to be in the pockets of the airlines. Though the big winner on this one is Delta IMO... they don't have any Max's so it won't affect their quarterly at all.

Life goes on. RIP to the innocent.

The 737 of today is nothing more than the -100 with a bunch of STCs with all the enhanced features.

MAX 9 would, in the very best case scenario, hold 13 containers (738BCF holds 11 containers and has a half pallet position aft and has the same fuselage as the MAX 8).
