Sounds promising. Any glimmer of opportunity, at this point, is good.

Are FOs hired straight into the ATR if they have the time and slots are available? Or, is 208 time with the company required and then you can move up to the ATR?

Thanks.

Default 4th quarte hiring

for those in the know:

Will there be any FO hiring for the ATR in the coming months?

What is the crew staffing looking for 2021? retirements? upgrades?

i believe there will be classes starting in January. I have no idea how many are in the current pool or if there is a pool or pilots. I assume there is.

we aren’t getting any runs right now. There will be hopefully 4 of us upgrading by the beginning of next year. As far as I know there only hiring directly in to bases which means you must live there. There are a few retirements occurring but not a ton. They will be looking for people to fill seats but not sure when all that will take place. So far we have a lot of pilots and not a ton of flying. At least for FOs. We shall see how that changes.

What does not a ton of flying mean? are the cargo loads not consistent?
I would assume that you will still fly the scheduled run even though it is just one parecel. is this correct or not?

What are the junior bases for the ATR.

Are new hires get to bid for a base or it gets assigned after being hired?
