Default Aviation online Masters Degree

I am close to finishing my BAS in Aviation Mgt and have a lot of TT, PIC twin turbine time and international SIC time in a 747. I am interested in obtaining my Masters Degree in the event I lose my medical and to help myself attain a career at UPS. I am 38 years old.

What online school and degree program would you suggest?

You want an bachelors aviation degree and a masters aviation degree?

You need a masters to apply to UPS?

Why not focus on making captain, first?

Well I am almost done w my BAS and I thought a Masters/MBA would be a good idea if I ever lost my medical and possibly help me attain a better job.

FWIW, I’m also 38. I also worked four years on 747s. I have over 7000tt and 1000tpic. I have tons of volunteer time. I have attended six job fairs. I did my masters online. 4.0 GPA. 3.1 undergraduate GPA.
UPS hasn’t called yet. Neither has United, Delta, FedEx, Southwest, or AA. I’ve since taken a job at another major and am quite happy here, but I work with guys without ANY degree, so the masters certainly wasn’t necessary. That said, I do hope that if I ever lose my medical it will help me gain employment outside of flying.

I went to Delta State and recommend it from a value and convenience standpoint. All in cost was about $12k, you can get it done about 14 months if you take full credit loads and do summer classes.

It’s a Master of Commercial Aviation (MCA). It’s fairly generic, with more emphasis on management, but good classes on Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions that definitely give you a better perspective on UPS and freight in general. You get out of the program what you put in, and it’s really on you to get the work done. I honestly enjoyed it overall.

I did a couple classes at Riddle in the human factors discipline. Seemed like a great program. Ultimately decided that I didn't want to spend my glorious layovers pouring over scholastic research documents to contrive my own scholastic research only to be ultimately graded on APA formatting. But for those so inclined....I could recommend it.
