In cargo airline travel
Hello training community!
I will be moving abroad best year and I want to astray preparing now.
I have a 1.5/2yo mixed rescue that is quite shy. He weights 20kg so I know there’s no way he can come in cabin in any airline... and most YouTube videos and vlogs are for small dogs that fit under the seat
I will soon be buying his airline approved travel crate and I wanted your input if you have experience with flying with your dog!
I know each country will have different vet requirements but I still don’t know which country I will be going to. (Will probably know around November)
So what I’m looking for it tips and tricks for training him to get used to the crate for traveling in a plane, (there’s plenty for crate training when the crate will be sitting somewhere in your house but not much I could find on how to train three for travel...)
maybe products I wouldn’t think of in my first flight, any advice or input on how to prepare would be wonderful!

If you do is using a crate at home that is good and that is the training try to use the blanket and toys you will put in the crate with him and close the crate at night for the dog to get use to not be able to leave whenever he wants. Do not give any medication to the dog is very bad, with that size dog put to big water bottle attach to the crate and if you put it since now so the dog get use to drink and use them. Post a message on top and one side of the crate stating that the dog is a love family member and that any kindness will be appreciate. If the dog goes thru Japan or Hong Kong they will not take the dog out of the crate in transit is not allow by their laws other places i do not know. Oh get the absorbent cleaning blanket and put two or three in the bottom of the crate for his urine (yellow or green one)
Hope all this help
