Unfortunately neither does the work or expense. I like the idea of money coming in..no work going out. Negotiated retirement plan.

Real estate is most definitely a great investment. My only issue with it is being unable to cash out when you need it if the economy goes south. Same issue with brokerage accounts to a degree except you CAN sell it’s just at a fraction of what you might want or need. That being said given the choice I would choose real estate too!

Again....a company paid, negotiated retirement not a 401k match. We have guys going out at 180k a year. 401k is foam on the beer. Rentals suck for the long haul. Been there done that.

A direct contribution into a 401k would make the most sense and lift the limits that people would run into. I think the current limits are something like $50k if the company is the one putting into it. I agree 100% it can't be a match because then you'd get taxed to meet the top end.

None of my business but do you think 23 year olds who may leave anyway really want a Pension that Atlas would be paying out 77 years from now?

The new industry standard is a Direct Contribution of 16-18%.

Not the standard in the latest high water mark contracts at K4 and Omni...5% with a max of 10k. Pitiful.

Yeah... None of the ACMI's are Industry Standard on much of anything. We've beaten that topic up enough, but if I were in negotiations I'd be shooting for Industry Standard.

Well, the ultimate goal is to make 1 million a year on rental income. Let the property managers take their 10% to 20%.

I completely agree. 5% and $10k is a joke and when my Company sent out a survey I made retirement my #1 choice for improvement.

Another issue I seem to see is good matching, but **** options to invest. I’ve seen huge differences just within Fidelity 401k options. One issue at a time I guess...
