for a first year pilot will there be commutable schedules? or at least 7 days off in a row once a month?

Reserve...15 on, 13 off or 7 on, 7 off.

ok how long do you think it would take to transfer from Z to ONT?

How about double deadheads in the Z?
And vice versa, how long would it take +/- to go from ONT to the Z if we wanted to do more Europe flying instead of Pacific Rim?

After your 1st year probation and then whenever the next bid comes out... 1-1.5 years;)

Why would you want Europe flying over the pacific rim? unless of course you are wanting to go to Amsterdam .......Pacific Rim is way easier usually warmer and nicer hotels......Pacific Rim flights always end with a happy ending ......unless of course we are again talking about Amsterdam

Z goes East and West out of SDF. Rumor has it that some flying to the South may be in the works too. As a new guy, I'm not counting on anything other than being reserve ***** for quite a while.

can you transfer from Z to ONT while on probation?

Don't know since I'm still in the school house and I am going where I wanted to be anyway. I think it would be easier since no additional training would be required. If you were domestic 757 you'd need to do the int'l training and that might slow it down. I'll ask around but someone on here can probably answer it faster.
