Pac 240 syd-nrt

Looking to jumpseat Sydney to Tokyo in about a month. Is there anything I should know about before scheduling the jumpseat on this flight?

We don't take JSers on the SYD - NRT flights on the 767. The cockpit is cramped enough as it is with 3 people for that long of a flight. Sorry.

Thank you for the info!

Not necessarily true. We don't take company deadhead's. The jumpseat is captains discretion....I have seen many jumpseaters On those legs...

I’m sorry- but I won’t be taking you on that flight. It’s nearly 12 hours block to block with 3 guys. Jump on a nice international carrier and enjoy the fine service.

What the H-? I will take you NRT-SYD if you are a good js. It is 9.5hr. and you might see BNE since we really stretch the fuel on this leg. I really enjoy speaking to other pilots and their experiences. I did have a JS from Sydney-Narita from Delta that was really strange. 27yr old, slept across the seats, and he/SHE never asked one question about CPDLC, ETOPS, etc. even after stating the intention of bidding for the 75/76 at DL. Weird. Enjoyed JS people from the Asian stations. Breaks up the monotony.

That's *******ed up that you would deny a guy based on that. What goes around is sure to come around.

Operations aren’t supposed to even allow jumpseaters to be listed for this flight.

Good thing you're at the regionals now. Let the captain handle the jumpseat for you.
