No home basing
You travel on your days off
different work rules depending which plane you fly, for some reason they keep the 737 n 727 guys separate, there is no switching of metals, so you can't go from 727 into 737 or visversa
Min is 45 hrs
And from what i understand,, in some cases, you have to load and unload your own plane.
also, if your trip end at an out station, you may have to find your way home.
Good Luck,

From what I understand the union at K2 was busted by two pilots. K2 was months away from getting their union, and these two pilots decided they will intervine. Apparently K2 keeps two separate pilot groups a 737 group and a 727 group, which it kinda strange they do that. But the two pilots are on the 737 side.
I think Swift air is hiring, check them out.

The union was voted off the property by a majority of the k2 pilots because they had around 5 years of negotiating with zero results. Ther were not even close to a contract.
k2 pilots never HAVE to touch a load. they can get load pay however if they want it and they each make an extra $800.00 per leg for load pay.
No k2 pilot gets to an out station and has to get his own way home. We are provided tickets in that scenario.

Teamsters had FIVE years and not one single TA! The negotiators were deemed too ineffective and incompetent that they were voted off by the majority of the pilots. That happened 3 months ago and we have already seen tangible results.

That’s tangible for sure. 🙄

That is very misleading. The ad hoc per diem is still there for all K2 crews. No one received ad hoc per diem for just sitting around yip except the 727 guys. Now everyone gets the extra $35/day ad hoc per diem when activated or on the road, as well as hotels paid for by the company while in yip and everywhere else. If you want to simply find things to complain about, please find an airline that makes you happy or suits your needs and go there. Life is far too short to spend your time looking at half-empty glasses.

Now let’s evaluate something.
1. Only 2 737s are outfitted for ADHOC, and one of those can only carry 7500lbs of widgets.
2. B737 crews rarely spend time in YIP
3. All K2 pilots are YIP based
4. B737 crews get the $48/day per diem while flying DHL, or any other time they’re away from YIP.
5. B727 crews did not get any per diem while sitting ADHOC in YIP except the $35/day incentive.
6. B737 crews work a 13/10 schedule with no overlapping of crew
7. B727 crews work a 16/12 schedule with 2 of the 16 overlapping each other.
So to review, B737 crews get per diem to fly scheduled DHL runs, or any other time they’re away from base (which is ALWAYS), while B727 crews get $0 for sitting in YIP for 144 hours of on call “legally available.”
B727 crews were being compensated the $35 to level the playing field. That’s just over $7k per annum now evaporated.
I’m failing to see how this is forward progress.
Perhaps the way I worded my response is slightly misleading, but the way you make it out to sound is entirely misleading to what actually happened.

B737 crews work 13 days per bid period, there are 13 bid periods.
Per diem equates to $48*13*13= $8112 of guaranteed per diem.
B727 crews work 16 days per bid period, there are 13 bid periods.
Adhoc per diem incentive equated to $35*16*13= $7280 of what was once guaranteed per diem.
B727 crews only got the extra $2/hr regular away from base per diem if they flew a trip.
B737 crews work less days than B727 crews but get paid more.
Again I fail to see how this is improvement.
