Mountain Air Trip/ Domiciles
Hello,
Prior 121 looking to better understand how a few things work with the company.
1. Are trips sim to the regional side 3/5 day away or...?
2. Any info of seniority for domiciles like GSP on the ATR side?
3. Does having prior jet time ensure the ATR or is it like the regionals and based class seniority?
Thanks for any insight in advance!

Most runs are Monday night Through Friday morning. There are some runs that run during Saturday as well. People are placed in bases as needed. There are more pilots then there is flying. If your looking to fly a bunch, it will be difficult now. There are at least 7 people waiting to start training and there are 5 check airman. Most runs are short. Only about 5 runs that are long. You are not guaranteed holidays off. You may spend your holiday at an out station away from your home. If you float, you will most likely get home on Friday night and then have travel Sunday. Last time I looked pretty much all bases are full with people having standing bids for when others leave. Seniority is factored within the base. You may be a DE Captain but once an FO upgrades in base, if he is there before you, he will then be senior to you. On one happy note, you get a week off every month. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply sir good info and makes sense. To be clear Monday night - Friday morning TAFB?
Would be nice if cargo side had domicile movement tracking like the regional but I get your point. ATR would be preferable but base is king as you know.
Thanks again and happy new year. Fly safe

I am right at 330 for 1 year. I am flying on one of the shorter routes and I flew every week before they start making everyone take their PTO week. So I would have only flew about 220 hours or less if I didn’t work my 4 weeks. There are some that will average close to 500 hours a year. But that might be coming down due to how many people we have still waiting to start training.
Bases: MEM, IND, ILM, GSP, EWN, BIS, etc. it’s all on the profile.
ATRs are based at all those locations listed above including some more.

RJ if you don’t mind and if possible how senior is GSP or CLT? Low flying time doesnt bother me.
Also in your earlier reply you said evenings starting. What time do you normally finish?
Thanks in advance.
