Default Mac 2020

I heard the Mountain is losing some runs and morale is at all time low. BIS run is gone, and MIA is going to be flown by IFL group. Is this place worth going to now and days, or are there better options out there. Pay seems to be better at the regionals.

I was interviewed and offered the job as an ATR DEC back in October but then they cancelled all classes indefinitely and I haven't heard a peep in months...so that's not too surprising to hear.

FedEx changes things around. We lost one, gained another. So that equals net loss of runs 0. We have more people than flying. It was like this years ago when people were only flying about 100 hours a year maybe a little more. It’s all about what you want.

I was told about a week and a half ago from HR that they’d be having a March class. Not sure if this is a hard Yes as I am not applying until I’m current again.
Would be nice to know how what the typical flight week looks like and hard it would be to hold GSP and where training is but I didn’t want to ask Hilary until I was ready to apply.
insight from current MAC pll would be appreciated.

GSP is senior and you probably
wont get it. From what I have been told by people looking to go there, they are not hiring in to GSP. It is one airplane and one route. Most bases you will go there and fly the base, but plan on being a “based floater.” There are more people than flying. Unless you are here with some seniority in base, you will be on reserve until there is some movement within.

You would live in GSP and they would float you out for different runs for 3 weeks, followed by 1 week off at home in GSP.

Starting out you will probably do all the time building runs like IND-CID-FSD, IND-RST, MEM-TLH, MEM-CHS. Most of those runs have a show time around 1am - 245 am. off duty around 9-10am. Training takes place in Sanford, FL for initial.

Any reason why the BIS route is gone? I still see the ATR flying that route currently as in tonight. Whole reason they switched to the ATR was due to volume. Previously flying up to three caravans daily under Corporate air. I doubt the volume decreased significantly. So does that mean Corporate air will take over again?

BIS I believe is going back to a 208. there really wasn’t that much going back and forth. It had been a 208 for years so not too surprised.
