I’m living the Dream on the 777. I almost got quarantined twice last week. We operate frequently to HKG ICN and BAH. Search travel restrictions to these countries and you will see that there is a good chance we won’t be able to operate to 3 of the 4 places we regularly fly to. what will happen to a low seniority guy if we park planes?
According to maintenance the company stopped putting the good germicidal wipes on the plane because they are too expensive and we are using them too quickly. Safety first. Come on over - it’s a blast!

Question: why doesn’t every available pilot just show up at the next negotiating meeting, and put it all out in the table right there? Does it even matter? Would it help? It’s pretty obvious the people in charge and the people negotiating are hindering further progress, so why not?

This coronavirus thing has the potential to get very nasty. I would not be giving up a secure job to go to the bottom of the list anywhere right now.

So if the FO at Southern are flying on average 200-300 hours a year, does that mean that QOL is a lot better then? So how many days off are new FOs averaging? They are advertising a year and half to two years upgrade with a maximum of 17 days on which means that a pilot will have 13 days off is that some what true?

close - but no.

the company owns you for 17 days. Most lines are split. This means coming up day before 2x. Now your down to 11 days off. Opps we are short staffed. We need to extend you. 9-10 days off now.

24 hour layovers are the norm. Just long enough to mess up your sleep pattern

you will never break 62. 1/2 day equals 1/2 pay.

but hey, Zero showed up to last class. Maybe it will be different for you. Come on over and see for yourself.

Can I get some info on the 737 please? Im not hoping for a legacy or PIC time.

17 on 13 off and being positive spaced appeals to my family situation. I assume this is available on the 73? Im not keen on living in CVG.

I know that hours flown per year are low and min guarantee is only 50 hours. Is that what you credit a month pay wise or is it a bit higher with rig?

Thanks

Just as a heads up, if the idea of gateway travel / home basing is one of the main reasons that you want to come to Atlas / Southern, you should keep this in mind: our management has stated that they will not agree to have either of these provisions in our next contract (whenever that may be).

Probably about a year ago, from management's negotiating team to ours.
