Default Room service

Anyone get tricked by initial ‘stay in your room and order room service’ message and think the company was taking care of the tab. So much for that decent gesture, new wording added ‘pay for incidentals like any other layover’. Can’t even throw us a bone when crews going above and beyond. Disappointed but not too surprised.

FAA SAFO recommends room service.

Default Where is the "Trick"

FAA has never paid for any of my overnights nor meals. Why would anyone think this SAFO means free room service?

Because being among the most highly paid cargo pilots 'entitles' them to this non-contractual perk. It's all about being out of touch with reality.

Company policy is not to leave your room in PVG and CAN. You think being basically stranded in your room is a perk? And the company's first fcif was worded that the company would pay for your room service.

Some pilots have a very broad definition of “room service”.

Company fcif was very specific.
