That's true. The nice thing about home basing is that it takes the onus off of you to get yourself into place. ABX would have to ramp up the travel department pretty quick to do it. And that would cost money. Soaper's probably all over it..... *wink*

Not all ABX pilots support home-basing. Of course some do/some don't. The general discussions are how you "value" the dollar of those costs or do you prefer to see the $ in other CBA areas (compensation, rules, retirement, etc.).
I think the crap (as you put it) isn't specifically directed at home basing or any other particular item. Generally the friction is from a conglomeration of things and not just a single issue. Most of this has calmed down...but there are still individuals on both sides who don't let the horse lay.
The above is thread drift....On topic ABX is not temporarily home based. The company is trying different things assisting in distancing and minimizing the potential of illness among crew-members. It will all go away someday; probably soon.
