UPS Management Pilot Question

UPS Pilots,

I was thinking about applying for a Management Pilot Position. If anyone knows about the pay, quality of life, working environment, ect., it would be appreciated. I really want to work for UPS so any information would be helpful.

Sandman...

If you really want to fly for ups and are under 50, wait for the line hiring to resume. Our mgmt pilots don't fly that much and their managerial duties would surprise you (micromanaging is the norm). If you become mgmt, you must sell your soul to brown in order to get ahead. Forget about where you want to live and about your family wishes. Upper mgmt "marginalizes" those managers who aren't seen as "team players", i.e. do whatever brown wants. Good luck in your decision.

Sandman,

If you don't mind living in Louisville, don't mind working your tail off, and you will do this all for $140K to start and $1 million in retirement for every 10 years you put in, then go for it.

It's not for everyone, but in today's climate there's certainly worse jobs.
