You'll be shocked at UPS first year pay then!

In seriousness, most folks who have been on property 3-4 years are captains. They are doing $208/hr or so with 65hrs/month as their guarantee so around $13,520 a month?

Where did I say anything about first year pay?
Again. I’m not here to rain on anyone’s parade, but pay rates are probably the easiest, and one of the the least important, parts of a CBA. All I said was that I was unaware of how little else you guys had.

Plus no training pay, or stated another way: full pay on the first day.

So what does Atlas provide?
Training pay $1600/ month for 4 months. Then 50 hour guarantee first year (87/hr). So at 8 bids (plus the training pay) that’s what?

All that for the right seat of a 767, or 747. Sounds like ATI is doing better.

Refrence for my Atlas info: https://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/...argo/atlas_air

You forgot the 4.85 hrs duty rig per day

You got the call at OMNI, which pays much better, but you’re butt-hurt that ATI didn’t call you too? Might want to shed that attitude quick in this market.

I got called to work at Omni? So you're telling me I should jump on a plane to Tulsa and show up at their offices and tell them that some guy called "threeeighteen" on APC claimed I had a job here? Weirdest way I have ever been notified of being hired, but okay, I'll pack my bags...

In fact when something happens and I bring it to the attention of the appropriate people, they fix it without a second thought. You cannot script that into a CBA. My experiences in the regionals really helped me appreciate what ATI has to offer. I’m happy at work, most pilots I know are happy at work. So it’s a good deal.

Showing up and not being angry speaks to you and your attitude. It doesn't speak to your contract or working conditions, though. I appreciate and try to be someone who flies without bringing much rage onto the flight deck. Perhaps a couple years of people ragging on ATI for taking a cheap deal is causing guys to dig-in on their commitment to the contract they have rather than open their minds to improvements they could get?

So we all do better when you do better, independent of unions, locals, etc. The current contract at ATI, I believe, was sold as an intermediate step to a better deal later. Well, it's later. Go get paid and, for god's sake, don't crash a plane. I wish y'all the best.

Thank you, I do believe that I do have a good attitude. Though you are correct that my attitude does not speak directly to the working conditions or CBA, these do not exist in a vacuum. In other words, having a good attitude and being happy at work would not be so easy if the company was a crap place to work for or had a crap CBA.

Now I’m very curious as to why pilots on APC wish to dig the ATI pilot group for its CBA (don’t worry I already know the answer). The reality is that ATIs pilot group is looking for a better contract. Nobody is digging in about what we have.

Lastly, I’m going to be upfront here, I find it highly inappropriate for you to write “for gods sake, don’t crash an airplane”. I find that classless. We have good pilots at ATI and are at no more risk than any other ACMI.

The bullies are always going to be bullies, and dress up snark in a wrapping of good wishes. The bullies HATE that people at ATI are happy, when they are miserable. Sad part is that an awful lot of people at Atlas and ABX just want to go to work and would love to enjoy their jobs, but the bullies won't let that happen, and sure as heck won't let them speak up. Don't pick up open time! You better SHOP and BOOT!! And we're gonna sue, sue, sue! Even if it gets us zero for the treasure invested. But we made our point! And we're gonna get Single Transportation System and force our contract down your throat, whether you want home-basing or not!! And we're gonna have horrible mean-spirited nicknames for people in management there, even if they're very nice folks, and say them over and over. Because WE don't want YOU to feel good.

Can't we all just get along?" NO NO NO. We're never going to get what we're OWED by the MAN if anybody steps out of line even a little. Snakes in the mailbox wasn't that long ago -- and it speaks to a totally-different work environment in one place versus another.

The bottom line for me always is: winners grin, losers spin.

This is an “application received email”. ATI is most likely hiring retiring/retired mil, furloughed and non-furloughed regional peeps, 135 and 91k pilots, and any furloughed ALPA pilot will be given additional consideration.
